Boredom leads to pet portraits…
Yup, this dog is real. Her name is Gracie and she’s probably the most well behaved model I’ve taken portraits of in a while.
Picture of the Day
I recently went to Cambodia for the day to renew my Thai visa. I found this gem at the Cambodian crossing right above the urinal.
Bangkok Skyline & Parties
I’ve been pushing back my stay here in Thailand for a number of reasons…warm beaches, spicy food and an adventure that just wont quit. I’ve been meaning to post more pictures but here are just some quickies from my point and shoot.
Black and White Film
These are just a few random black and white film shots i just got developed.
New Year Day(s) – Hua Hin, Thailand

Hua Hin was lit up by the fireworks and Khom Fais. Khom Fais are the slower red streaks that you see rising to the top left corner. They are candles that one lights and once the bag collects the heat it eventually rises and floats off. The sky was full of these lit candles. Click on this picture to link to a youtube video to see over 10,000 of these candles being let go. Its pretty impressive.
I spent my new years eve in Hua Hin, Thailand with friends…at their pimp condo on the beach. I wish I had a picture of the amount of whisky and hard liquour these kids brought, it was incredible. Turned out one of the girl’s father works for Sang Som whisky (Thai)…she brought a case of it. It fit well next to the fortress of Jameson and Black Label that had accumulated. Every restaurant we went to at this beach town we brought our own bags of whisky. The Thais know how to party, thats for sure.

I must say, I was quite impressed how Garrett managed to draw his penis considering how many whiskies he had thrown back. He did a good job, all the way to the last drop.
Nevertheless it was a pretty auspicious night considering it was the turn of the decade and a full moon with a partial lunar eclipse (In Thailand however, I was told a lunar eclipse is a bad sign). We spent the eve partying on the beach shooting off fireworks. After the party was over, two days later, Kristen and I rented motorbikes and found a small quite fishing village even farther south; Prachuap Khiri Khan. This was the highlight of the beach trip. We were fortunate to find a small hotel with doors that basically opened up to a bay.
